The Ember Fire Hearth is part of the Slabs By Design architectural concrete collection. Designed for modern and contemporary interiors, this hearth provides a strong and elegant base for a wide range of fireplaces.

Each hearth is handcrafted using high-performance architectural concrete and reinforced with an integrated steel support frame to ensure durability and structural support.

The Ember design features a clean minimalist profile that blends seamlessly into contemporary living spaces while enhancing the visual impact of the fireplace.

All hearths are manufactured to order and can be customised to suit your fireplace dimensions and design preferences.

While the aesthetic is minimalist, the internal construction is heavy-duty: Thermal Protection: An integrated, high temperature Fibre Cement (FC) sheet and 5mm steel sheet is recessed into the benchtop. This acts as a heat sink, protecting the concrete while addressing safety requirements.
Structural Integrity: A concealed steel support frame is fitted underneath the benchtop and bolted into the concrete hearth to effortlessly carry the weight of heavy cast-iron or steel fireboxes for
added support.
Seamless Aesthetic: Once your chosen fire is installed, the steel and fireproof shielding are completely hidden, leaving only the clean, bold lines of the concrete visible.

For unique spaces, we offer fully customised fire hearths to suit your space

• Cutout in the top of the concrete fire hearth the same size as the base of the selected fire
• Welded steel tube construction subframe
• Bolted into the underside cavity of the concrete hearth
• Heat proof fibre cement panel fitted to the top of the steel frame
• 5mm steel sheet fixed to the top of the FC Sheeting

• Fire to be installed by a qualified tradesperson
• Base of fire to sit evenly on the steel sheet

• 12 month structural warranty on the concrete
• Concrete is stain resistant – harsh chemicals when left on the concrete surface may affect the
  sealer coating
• Due to expansion and contraction of the concrete as a result of heat, micro cracks may appear which are generally not structural in nature and are normal in concrete
• All dimensions provided are approximate due to the nature of this product. Slight variations may occur in sizes, colour and finish due to the hand-made nature of the product
• Placement of the cutout will depend on the selected fire, walls and floor materials used
